biography.

Chris Joye was born in Southeastern, Pennsylvania and grew up in a home where both classical and popular music were often played. He began piano lessons at the age of 10 and eventually switched over to the electric bass at the age of 15.

He was accepted on scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, in 2003 and received his Bachelors of Music degree, summa cum laude, in Film Scoring and Composition/Bass Performance in May, 2007.

He currently lives in Chicago and composes music for film, commercials and jingles. He is also a freelance recording bassist and a private instrutor for electric bass and composition.
