biography.
Chris Joye was born in southeastern Pennsylvania and grew up in a home where both classical and popular music were often played. He began piano lessons at the age of 10 and eventually switched over to the electric bass at the age of 15.
He attended Villanova University for his academic coursework, and was then accepted on scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, in 2003 where he received a Bachelors of Music dual-major degree, summa cum laude, in Film Scoring and Composition/Bass Performance in May, 2007.
He currently lives in the Washington D.C. area and composes music for film, television, commercials, video games and jingles. He is also a freelance recording bassist and accordionist and a private instructor for electric bass and composition.
