Brandon Semenuk
In January, 2024, I was asked to work on a project for one of my biggest mountain bike heroes - Brandon Semenuk. He was finishing his mtb film “Afterlife” with Red Bull Bike and had created a behind-the-scenes mockumentary short that needed music sounding similar to Igor Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring”, to which I eagerly said “yes!” (it being one of my favorite pieces of music). It was a monumental task, but turned out well and was an honor to work with Brandon.
Fortnite: Chapter 5
In August, 2023, I was asked to join a skilled team of audio professionals on the latest chapter of Fortnite, for a mode called Jam Stage. Our job is to take popular songs and edit them down to the best 32-bar playable loops, in addition to MIDI author the stems, providing animation character cues, chord changes, drum MIDI performance, and the craziest part - Melodyne them to the parallel keys. All of this was to allow the game engine to give users the freedom to jam and mash songs together in any key or tempo within Fortnite Jam Stage.
